bio

This season, Amanda will serve as the assistant coach for both the 17.1 Empire and 15.1 Empire Vancouver teams. She brings seven seasons of coaching experience, including five with Aspire NW, and a strong background as both a player and mentor.

Amanda played four years of varsity volleyball at Aloha High School as a setter and middle. She was recruited to set at Concordia University of Portland but ultimately spent all four collegiate seasons contributing as a middle blocker. Her experience in multiple positions gives her a versatile perspective and a deep understanding of the game.

Off the court, Amanda is a 5th-grade teacher and proud pet mom to two cats and a dog. She loves staying active, whether she’s swimming, running, paddle boarding, or spending time outdoors. In July, she welcomed her first baby, Oaklen, who she’s excited to introduce to the volleyball world.

Amanda’s coaching philosophy centers on developing athletes as both players and people. She believes volleyball teaches life lessons that extend far beyond the court and is passionate about helping her athletes grow in confidence, character, and resilience.
