Hello All! Thank you for visiting Aspire NW. My name is Shyanna Davis (Shy), and I am the director here at Aspire NW. Aspire NW is one of the newer and upcoming clubs in the PNW. Aspire NW started on a hope and a dream. I have loved the game of volleyball since the age of 9 when I began playing club. I competed at the highest level in high school and had dreams of making my mark in college. I graduated high school in 2005, and I received a full scholarship to Jackson State University in Mississippi. The south has a very extensive physical process that includes an EKG. During my EKG they found that I had an irregular heartbeat. I had to see a cardiologist before I could be cleared to play. Sadly, after my cardiologist visit, I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and was never able to play a single day of my college career. Although I was devastated, I still loved the game of volleyball and all of the memories that it had brought me. I knew that I wanted to eventually start coaching and give back to the game that means so much to me and helped me develop my most treasured friendships and memories. All of my years of coaching led me to the opportunity of starting a club. Now I get the privilege of mentoring and guiding athletes through the game of volleyball.
