Celena Maxwell is the assistant coach for our 18-2 team in Vancouver! She played volleyball at Reynolds High School as a three-year varsity starter and went on to compete at Clackamas Community College and NCU (now Bushnell University). Celena also played club volleyball with Nike NW Juniors growing up.

This is Celena’s 8th season coaching club volleyball and her 2nd year with Aspire NW. She has experience as both a head coach and assistant, and has worked camps and clinics throughout her career, including helping out at Clackamas CC.

Celena works as a Title Specialist and enjoys spending time with her boyfriend and their two dogs, Leo and Blue. Volleyball remains a huge part of her life, and she still actively plays in leagues and tournaments.

Her coaching philosophy focuses on developing better people, not just better players. She believes in pushing athletes out of their comfort zones, guiding them to grow into confident, successful adults while teaching life skills through the game of volleyball.
