bio
Tate is our 14.4 head coach this season in Vancouver! She played at Skyview High School all four years before competing in college volleyball at Edmonds College (2020–2022) and Benedictine University of Mesa (2022–2025), primarily as an Opposite and Outside, with some experience in back row.
This is Tate’s fifth year coaching club volleyball and her second as a head coach. She began at NW JRS Elite in Seattle, spent two years at EVJ VBC in Mesa, Arizona, and has now coached two years with the Aspire NW Family.
Tate graduated from Benedictine University in 2025 with a degree focused on Psychology and Social Work. She currently works as a community-based skills trainer in Portland. Outside of volleyball, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and continuing to play the sport she loves.
Tate’s coaching philosophy is centered on empowering young athletes through volleyball. She strives to help players build confidence, respect, and the ability to uplift others, applying lessons learned on the court, such as teamwork, commitment, and sportsmanship, to all areas of life. She emphasizes caring for her athletes not just as volleyball players, but as young people growing into their potential.
