Sydney Means is our wonderful Head Coach for our 16.3 team in Beaverton! She has been playing volleyball since age 9, including two years of beach volleyball at a junior college and club volleyball at Washington State University. She continues to play in adult leagues and tournaments.
Sydney has five years of coaching experience, including four years coaching club volleyball across all ages from 10s to 18s.
Born and raised in Southern California, Sydney moved to Washington and graduated from Washington State University. In her free time, she enjoys playing volleyball, spending time with friends and family, and exploring the Pacific Northwest.
Her coaching philosophy emphasizes trust, hard work, and dedication. Sydney creates an environment where athletes feel supported to take risks, learn from mistakes, and push themselves to reach their full potential every day.
