Carey Williams

Carey Williams coaches the 18.1 Vancouver team and brings a lifelong love of volleyball to the program. She has played the sport at every level, from youth and club through high school and collegiately at the University of Portland, and still enjoys getting on the court whenever she can.

Originally from Kahuku, Hawaii, Carey comes from a close-knit, competitive family, with her dad serving as her first volleyball coach and biggest influence. After finishing her college career, she spent two years coaching club volleyball in Hawaii, driven by a desire to give back to the sport that shaped her. Carey’s coaching philosophy focuses on helping athletes grow both on and off the court while challenging themselves to exceed their own expectations.
