Kari will be assistant coaching our 10.1 Empire team in Beaverton this season! She brings a strong competitive background as a former collegiate athlete and a passion for teaching the game to young players.

Kari played volleyball at Northern Michigan University, where she was a two-time All-Conference and All-Region selection and competed in two NCAA Division II Final Fours. Her playing experience fuels her ability to simplify skills and build strong fundamentals in developing athletes.

This season marks Kari’s third year coaching with Aspire NW. Her coaching philosophy centers on a balanced approach that emphasizes fundamentals, a positive mindset, effort, and teamwork. All these elements mix together to foster a lifelong love for volleyball.

Kari works as an elementary school teacher and loves traveling and spending time with her family. She is married with three children and brings her patience, enthusiasm, and educator mindset into the gym every single day.
