bio
Shyanna Davis is the head coach for our 17.1 and 15.1 teams in Vancouver and serves as the Director of Aspire NW Volleyball Club. She began playing volleyball at age 9 and went on to earn a full scholarship to Jackson State University, though a health diagnosis shifted her path to coaching.
Shyanna has extensive coaching experience, starting at the Mississippi School for the Deaf in 2006 and continuing through middle school and high school programs. She led Sandy High School to league championships and top-eight state finishes and helped Jefferson High School achieve its first win in over seven years. Currently, she coaches two Empire-level teams, leading them to nationals for consecutive years.
A Vancouver, WA native, Shyanna graduated from Heritage High School, where she still holds volleyball records. She enjoys spending time with her son, Carter, their dog Millie, and her family outside of the gym.
Shyanna’s coaching philosophy is simple: show up every day ready to give your all. She motivates, challenges, and encourages players to push beyond limits, emphasizing hard work, dedication, and leaving everything on the court.
